Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza, born June 26th, 1984 is an actress and comedian known for her deadpan sense of humor. Plaza plays April Ludgate, a character on the "Parks and Recreation" series. Following her improv performances and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and making her first web-based series debut with "The Jeannie Tate Show", Plaza went on to be a part of Judd Aplio's "Funny People" as well as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World later on in her life. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of expert in finance David Plaza and attorney Bernadette Plaza, was born in Wilmington Delaware. She is a Puerto Rican and her mother is Irish, English and Irish. Plaza was a graduate of an Catholic all-girls school in 2002, and then from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006. She was the president of her high school's student government and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during the time she was a senior. Plaza had a stroke back in 2004 as she was in the second year of her college career. She developed expressive aphasia. Then she experienced an ephemeral period of paralysis. Today, she's fully recovering.
