In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate 'Lorna Morello' as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone attended NIDA. Yael had the privilege at a young stage to be a part of some of Australia's top storytellers and performers along with pioneers in the film, TV and theatre fields. Yael is a well-known actress across Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's journey to New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael co-founded The Cannery. From an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery is a place to promote new ideas in creative writing, as well as innovative creative projects and assists in the formation of new writers.
